Privacy is important to us, which is one of the reasons we decided not to use traditional Google analytics. Instead we opted for the open-source Matomo which provides the same, if not more usability.
They provide a better option to allow users to be anonymous and protect their privacy without fingerprinting which websites they visit.
Better yet, you can even import the Google Analytics data into Matomo analytics to keep a whole view.
They provide open source installations, easily installable with a zip file on a Linux server, otherwise if Softaculous or Installatron are supported in a Cpanel that is another viable option.
The other way to get analytics is to try their cloud option. They offer reasonable pricing for a completely managed solution.
